Green Tea Compared to Coffee

However, it’s also important to note that added ingredients, such as sweeteners and creamers may significantly decrease the potential benefits of drinking green tea or coffee.

Coffee and green tea both have a variety of preparation methods and the way you prepare them can affect both the amount of caffeine included and the health benefits.

Coffee has many more well-known methods of brewing, such as with an espresso machine, a traditional coffee pot, or a French press. Both green tea and coffee offer several benefits and it all comes down to personal preference and what you’re looking for. However, many people choose to drink green tea over coffee due to the lower caffeine levels and the addition of L-theanine. The higher caffeine content in coffee can lead to a caffeine dependence and make it difficult for some people to follow asleep.
