Ice Cubes with Rose Petals
These Danish Rhubarb & Rose Milky Oolong Tea ice cubes with rose petals will add a touch of elegance and a subtle, floral flavor to any drink. Enjoy!
Ingredients
1 bag of Danish Rhubarb & Rose Milky Oolong Tea
2 cups of water
Fresh or dried rose petals (preferably organic and food-safe)
Ice cube tray
Instructions
1. Brew the Tea
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
Add 1 bag of Danish Rhubarb & Rose Milky Oolong Tea to a teapot or a heatproof container.
Pour the boiling water over the tea bag.
Let it steep for 3-5 minutes to ensure a rich flavor.
Strain the tea into a clean container to remove the tea bag. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
2. Prepare the Ice Cube Tray
Place a few rose petals into each compartment of the ice cube tray. Use enough to make them visually appealing but not so many that they overwhelm the cubes.
3. Fill the Tray
Carefully pour the cooled tea into each compartment of the ice cube tray, filling them almost to the top.
Ensure the rose petals are evenly distributed and submerged in the tea.
4. Freeze
Place the filled ice cube tray in the freezer.
Allow the cubes to freeze completely, which usually takes about 4-6 hours, depending on your freezer.
Hint: If you insulate the ice cube tray, cover the top with aluminum foil and the temperature of the ice compartment is only just below freezing point, the ice cubes will be particularly clear.
5. Serve
Once frozen, remove the ice cubes from the tray.
Use these beautifully infused ice cubes to chill and flavor your favorite beverages. They pair wonderfully with iced tea, lemonade, cocktails, or even plain water for an aromatic twist.
